This year’s two-day Radiothon broadcast, produced inside Children’s Medical Center at our Ryan Seacrest Studio, stimulated more than $1 million in donations for the second consecutive year.

The event is supported by CBS Radio and broadcast on 98/7 KLUV and La GRANDE 107.5, in association with the national Children’s Miracle Network. Programming features heart-warming stories from current and former patients and families.

We are extremely grateful for our partnership with CBS radio, led by two remarkable stars–Jody Dean at KLUV and El Chiquilín at La Grande– and we’re overwhelmed by the generous support of the listeners.  Our mission is to make life better for every patient that comes through our doors, regardless of ability to pay, and that goal isn’t possible without donations and events such as this.

One of the stories shared at this year’s event was Ashley Jackson’s, a 16-year-old girl who found herself unable to stand up one morning.  Specialists at Children’s performed urgent spinal surgery and found the cause to be a primary bone cancer.  Ashley’s doctors caught the cancer before it had spread, but it was still a long road to recovery.  Today, she is back home, in wonderful health, and looking forward to graduating from high school.  Ashley’s story is one of thousand that we are proud and privileged to be a part of.
