Last weekend, Ernst & Young announced the winners of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in the Southwest Region. The recipients, chosen by regional business leaders and innovators, were revealed at a gala on Saturday, June 21, at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.
Christopher Durovich, President and CEO of Children’s Health System of Texas, was among twelve recipients of the award, which recognizes business leaders and entrepreneurs who have demonstrated innovation, passion and commitment to drive growth in the economy.
As CEO of Children’s Medical Center, Christopher Durovich has continuously made strides in expanding and improving pediatric care in North Texas. Since his appointment in 2003, Children’s has transformed from a hospital into a health system. Under his leadership, Children’s became the nation’s seventh largest pediatric health system, including two full-service hospitals, 16 MyChildren’s pediatric primary care practices, and the Children’s Research Institute at UT Southwestern. Chris’ leadership has led to a dramatic increase in revenue and patient reach.
All of us at Children’s Medical Center and the Southwestern Medical District are grateful for Chris’ leadership, vision, and accomplishments, and are proud to congratulate him for being honored with such a distinguished and well-deserved award.
